Parchment paper liners almost ruined my air fryer last Tuesday

I threw a liner in with some frozen fries at 400 degrees and the paper flew up into the heating element, started smoking, and now I just use a bare basket with a quick spritz of oil instead, has anyone else had that liner disaster happen to them?

Mine did the exact same thing, guess we're both air fryer arsonists.
