Turns out, skipping the oil spray in my air fryer was a huge mistake

Honestly, I used to think air fryers didn't need any oil at all to get things crispy. Tbh, I tried making zucchini chips without any spray, and they came out limp and sad. What convinced me was when I finally caved and used a light spritz, the difference was night and day. Now I always keep a bottle nearby, and my snacks are perfectly crunchy every time.

weird, i get great results without any oil at all. my fries and veggies come out crispy every time, maybe my air fryer just runs hotter or something.

Strange, I never use oil and it's always crispy.

Wow, that's really counter to everything I've tried in the kitchen! My veggies always end up soggy without at least a light coating. Maybe it depends on the oven or the type of food? I've found that a tiny bit of oil helps conduct heat and creates that perfect crunch. Without it, things just steam instead of roast for me.
