Shoutout to the cat in Toledo that set off a full perimeter alarm

I was finishing a panel install in a quiet house last fall when the homeowner's cat, a big orange tabby named Gus, jumped onto the windowsill. He leaned against the brand new glass break sensor I'd just mounted. The thing let out a full, blaring alarm for the whole street to hear. I had to scramble to the keypad, punch in my code, and explain to the very confused owner that her pet was now a verified security threat. Anyone else have an animal cause a system test you didn't plan for?

Sounds like the alarm worked exactly how it should.

Ever notice how pets prove tech works, @jordansmith?
