Started prepping my boat for winter in august instead of october
After getting caught in that early snowstorm near Valdez last year and spending 6 hours chipping ice off my trailer lines, I shifted my whole routine up by two months and now I actually have time to fix the things I find instead of rushing and missing stuff, anyone else change their whole timeline after one bad season?

Man I waited until October last year and found a family of mice living in my bilge pump, so yeah you're way ahead of me and probably smarter about it too.

Wait, did you actually find mice in the bilge pump? That's insane lol. I learned my lesson with a saltwater washdown hose that froze solid after a november launch, so now I pull everything dry in late august and run antifreeze through every line twice. It's way easier to spend a weekend now than rush through a cold october afternoon with numb fingers. Plus you catch all the little cracks and worn hoses while the weather's still decent. Honestly once you shift early it feels like you've got all the time in the world.
