Fan subs from 2006 hit different now that I'm older

Burned through 40 episodes of an old mech show last week and the translation errors made me laugh, not rage, since I remember downloading these on dial-up at 2am. Anyone else rewatch their first anime and feel like the janky subs are part of the charm now?
