Hot take: someone in line at the store called Cowboy Bebop 'just a jazz show' and it bugged me more than it should
I was grabbing coffee in Portland last Tuesday and overheard two people arguing about whether Watanabe shows are style over substance. It made me realize I judge anime by its mood more than its plot, and that's probably why I rewatch Samurai Champloo every other year instead of trying new stuff. What show do you rewatch for the vibe alone, even if the story isn't the main draw?
