Hot take: Fridge compressors are not the scary monster everyone says they are

I got a call for a fridge making a weird noise, and the owner was sure it was toast. Turns out a kid's toy got stuck in the fan, buzzing like a angry bee. Can you imagine? I pulled it out, and it ran fine, but folks run from compressor jobs like they're cursed.

No kidding! Had one last month where the condenser coil was packed solid with dust and pet hair. Sounded like it was grinding rocks until I cleaned it off. People hear a bad noise and just assume the worst.

They skip checking the simple stuff like dust bunnies or pet hair clogging the works. It's wild how a five minute clean can stop that awful noise.
