Just figured out why the drain pump on those older Whirlpool dishwashers keeps clogging
Had a customer in Mesa whose dishwasher was backing up every 3 weeks, and after pulling the pump 4 times I finally found the real issue: a tiny piece of glass stuck in the check valve that you can't see from the top. Now I always pull the pump and flush the valve opening with a turkey baster full of hot water before I put it back together. Anyone else got a trick for finding hidden debris in those check valves?
