Spent $800 on a retainer agreement for a property line dispute and it saved my fence
My neighbor's surveyor said my shed was 2 feet over the line but after my lawyer sent a letter with the original plat from the 70s they backed off and I didn't even have to go to court, has anyone else had a survey fight that got resolved cheaper than expected?

Bought that retainer on a payment plan because I was broke at the time. The lawyer sent one letter and the whole thing just evaporated. My neighbor stopped talking to me for a month but I kept my fence. How long did it take for your neighbor to back off after the letter?

Bought that retainer on a payment plan" is smart @skyler_anderson65, my neighbor stopped talking to me after a week.

Did the lawyer's letter come with a free side of "we're not bluffing" or something? I had a similar thing years ago and my neighbor just doubled down, built a spite fence, and then sold the house. Guess some people just can't handle a well-placed plat map.
