Went to a courtroom on a lark and the judge ordered someone to pay child support in Pokémon cards

I was at the county courthouse on 5th street last Thursday waiting for a parking ticket hearing and the family court next door had a guy paying arrears with holographic Charizards. Has anyone else seen judges accept weird stuff like that?

No way, that's wild. I don't buy it though. Judges are super strict about official payment methods and stuff. The only way I can see this happening is if the guy literally sold the cards for cash in the courtroom and handed over the money. Maybe the judge just let it slide as a joke for a second? Honestly, people post all kinds of fake stories online, and this sounds like one of them.
