Night shots from Mauna Kea changed my tripod setup
I spent three nights up at the visitor station on Mauna Kea last month, and the wind up there is no joke. My cheap tripod kept shaking in gusts, so I started hanging my camera bag from the center hook and weighing it down with a 2 liter water bottle. That small trick turned blurry stars into sharp ones, especially at 200mm. Has anyone else found a weird DIY stabilizer that saved a shoot in rough conditions?
