That one Reddit user who told me to try stacking frames saved my Jupiter shot

Some guy on a forum said to take 3 minute video clips instead of single shots and stack the best frames in Registax. I tried it last week with my 8 inch dob and got a Jupiter photo that actually shows banding for the first time. Anyone else have a random internet tip that totally changed your astrophotography game?
