Client told me my paint job was 'too smooth' and I thought he was crazy
After 14 years of wet sanding everything to glass, a restorer in Phoenix pointed out that modern clears need some texture for proper adhesion on the next repaint, so now I stop at 1500 grit and it's saved me about 2 hours per car, has anyone else run into this with vintage trucks?

You tried 800 grit yet for single stage jobs, or stayed lazy like me?
