Vent: paid $1,900 to ship my Civic from Phoenix to Portland and the driver parked it under a pine tree

I went with the fancy enclosed transport because my Civic is a 2000 with 214k miles and I baby it, and the guy dropped it off at my new place in Portland covered in sap and pine needles. When I called to complain they said the open-air quote was $600 less and basically shrugged at me. Has anyone actually gotten money back from a broker after a delivery like this, or do I just eat the cost and wash it?
