Pitot static test adapter seals wore out after 40 checks

I had intermittent altitude readings on a 172 for a couple months. Took me way too long to notice the rubber O-rings on my test adapter were cracked and flattened. Swapped in a fresh set of seals yesterday and every reading is dead on across all 3 instruments. The adapter looked fine from the outside, the damage was all inside the bore. Anyone else track how many leak tests they run before replacing seals?
