I used to get a cashier's check for $1,450 every month because I thought a regular check would bounce or get flagged as fraud. A teller at my branch in Austin asked why I was paying $8 a month for something my landlord deposits the same way, then showed me the check clearing in two days on her screen. Has anyone else switched to plain checks or transfers and had a landlord push back?
