Noticed a previously banned book back in my town's library display
It was 'The Bluest Eye' by Toni Morrison. The library had pulled it for dealing with tough subjects. After a public review, they put it back on the shelves. I'm glad to see it available for anyone to check out.

Remember reading that book in high school and our teacher had to send a permission slip home first. Some parents refused, so those kids got an alternate assignment about pioneer life. Always stuck with me how two groups in the same class got such wildly different stories that week.
