Spent $40 on a used copy of a banned book from 1963 and it taught me more than my whole poli sci class

Ordered a beat up copy of The Deputy from a seller in Portland after my library said they could not get it, and the footnote section alone explains the censorship fight better than any lecture I sat through. The seller even left the original 1964 newspaper clipping inside about the protests. Has anyone else bought an old banned book and gotten cool stuff left inside like that?
