Getting my old neighborhood forum post restored took 6 months of emails
Got booted from a local community board back in 2021 for calling out a landlord who was dodging repairs. The mod said I was 'harassing' him. Fine. Whatever. But then I wanted to get back in last spring because they were talking about zoning changes near my block. I emailed the mod team, then the site admin, then their parent company. Six months and about 40 messages later, someone finally admitted the original ban was a mistake. No apology though. Has anyone else had to fight that long just to get a simple account back? How far did you have to go up the chain?

The 6 months thing is brutal. I had a similar fight last year and honestly the worst part is when they finally admit it was their screwup but act like you should be grateful they bothered to respond at all. I basically had to go nuclear and threaten to blast them on social media before anything moved, that's when the magic happened. Did you end up getting any actual explanation or was it just the silent fix?
