The moderator who told me to stop arguing with bots was onto something
Two weeks ago I kept getting into it with these obvious AI reply accounts in a news comment section. A moderator named Cole messaged me directly saying "you're feeding the algorithm, not changing minds." I thought that was cowardly advice at first and kept going. After my third temp ban for quote tos sing articles back at them, I realized he was right. I wasted 4 hours over two nights on that nonsense and got nothing but a mute. Now I just report the bot accounts and move on, has anyone else found a way to call out fake engagement without getting yourself silenced?
