Am I the only one who got banned from a gardening forum for saying organic pesticides still kill bees?

I posted a study from 2019 showing neem oil harms beneficial insects, and a mod gave me a 3-day ban for 'spreading misinformation.' The kicker is I've been a member there for 8 years and have 2,000 posts. Has anyone else been silenced for sharing actual science on a hobby site?

Did you see that piece in The Guardian last year about how even "natural" pesticides can mess up entire local ecosystems? Because what happened to you sounds exactly like what that article was talking about. It's wild how some of these forum mods think science is a threat to their beliefs. I recall a guy on a reptile forum getting banned for linking to a veterinary study about proper UVB lighting. These hobby sites sometimes care more about their product sponsors than actual facts. You'd think an 8 year member with 2,000 posts would get some benefit of the doubt, not an instant ban.

Wait, you're telling me The Guardian actually ran a whole piece about natural pesticides doing the same damage as regular ones? I definitely missed that one. @charles_coleman you're saying the mods on some forums will boot you over linking to actual vet studies? That's wild, I figured most hobby sites would want people to have the right facts about stuff like UVB lighting. Guess some forums just care more about keeping everyone happy than getting the science straight.
