My roommate said the quiet part out loud about our campus free speech wall and now I can't unhear it
She told me she reported a kid's chalk message at our student center last Tuesday because it made her "uncomfortable," and I just stood there nodding even though it bugged me all week. Has anyone else had a friend admit something like that and not known how to push back without starting a fight?
Went through this with a friend last year and what helped was asking her questions instead of arguing. Like I just said huh, what did the chalk actually say, and she ended up hearing herself out loud. Kept it chill, no fight, and she actually walked it back a bit after.
