Finally nailed a skin fade on my dad after 3 months of practice

My dad let me practice on him every Sunday for 3 months straight. Last weekend I finally got that smooth blend from the 0.5 guard down to the skin without any harsh lines. He actually said "that's the best one yet" without me asking for feedback. It took me about 45 minutes total, which is way better than my first try at over 2 hours. I used a combination of clipper-over-comb and then finished with my trimmers at a low angle. Anyone else remember their first clean fade and how long it took them to feel confident doing it on a real client?

3 months of Sundays is dedication, man. Took me closer to 6 before I stopped panicking every time. Your dad's a real one for being the test dummy.
