That cheap clipper oil cost me a set of Wahl Seniors

I bought a bottle of some no-name clipper oil off Amazon for like $4.99 back in February. After two months of using it I noticed my Wahl Seniors were getting super hot and the blades kept jamming on me. I finally broke down and bought Andis Cool Care for $7 at the local beauty supply and it stopped all the problems immediately. Has anyone else wrecked blades trying to save a few bucks on the cheap stuff?

Two months? Man, I've been using the same $4 Amazon bottle of clipper oil for like a year on my Oster 76s and they're still running smooth. But my buddy did the exact same thing with his Seniors and they started smoking in like three weeks. I think those Seniors are just more sensitive to the cheap stuff because of the higher blade speed or something. You're probably lucky you caught it before the blades got totally trashed.

Wait, you seriously got a year out of a $4 bottle of clipper oil on Oster 76s? That's wild lmao. I'm not gonna lie, I would have bet money that cheap stuff would gum up the works way before that. Those Osters can take a beating though, they're built like tanks compared to the Seniors for sure. Your buddy's story makes total sense too, the Seniors run so fast that the cheap oil probably just burns off or gets too thick and causes the heat buildup.
