Used to think pellet grills were cheating, then I tried a Camp Chef at a tailgate last month

I was always that guy saying real bbq needs wood chunks and charcoal, no shortcuts. But my buddy brought his pellet smoker to a tailgate for the Chiefs game and made the best brisket I've had in years. The smokey flavor was spot on and the bark was actually crispy. Now I'm wondering if I should pick one up for weeknight cooks when I don't have 6 hours to babysit the offset. Anyone else switch teams on pellet grills?

Read an article that said pellet grills now account for nearly 60% of all new grill sales and figured I was just being stubborn. Might grab one for those weeknight cooks myself.

Wait, are people really ditching charcoal and propane entirely, or just adding a pellet grill for the convenience factor?
