A mod on r/woodworking banned me for saying 'pine is fine' and honestly it fixed my whole approach
They messaged me that my one line answers were 'low effort' and added nothing, and 6 weeks later I caught myself typing the same lazy stuff on a fishing forum and deleted it. How do you all decide when a short answer is actually helpful vs just being loud?
My greatest hits collection of deleted posts would fill a landfill. Short answers can work if they actually answer the question, but "pine is fine" on a thread about walnut joinery is just noise. The fishing forum save was probably the best catch of your year.
