Vent: Removed from a sleep help group over my bedtime story trick

Back in the day, I was part of an online sleep aid community. I mentioned reading kids books out loud to calm my mind at night, and it worked for me. The mods booted me, calling it silly and not proper advice. Things were so strict about only sharing expert tips back then. Now, I see all sorts of personal hives shared online, what about you?

Why do gatekeepers dismiss real life fixes?

Wait what? They're dismissing fixes that actually work in the real world? That's the whole point of trying to solve something. It's wild to me that someone would rather protect some made up rules than see a problem get fixed for good. Are they more worried about being right than things actually working?

You got booted for a bedtime story? That's unbelievable. If it works, it works, no matter how silly it seems. @jaden69 is right, why do gatekeepers always dismiss real fixes?
