Realized I was watching on 2x speed for 3 seasons and missed everything

I binged all of Dark at 2x speed to save time, then my buddy asked about a twist in season 2 and I had zero clue what he meant. Turns out I missed half the character connections and subtleties, so I'm rewatching at normal pace in Berlin after taking 6 weeks off. Has anyone else messed up a show by trying to speed through it, or do you all watch at 1x like normal people?
