Tbh I used to think teaching new players was about explaining every rule first
My friend's kid just looked at me blankly after my 20-minute Ark Nova rules lecture. His dad just set up the board and said 'let's play a round, I'll help you'. The kid got it in five minutes. Anyone else realize they over-explain?

Honestly, I've found a quick demo beats a long talk every time.

Totally, it cuts through all the vague talk. Show me something working for 30 seconds and I get it way faster than any slide deck.

Nodding so hard I almost pulled a neck muscle. My own demos usually end with me forgetting how to share my screen so I feel this in my soul.
