That one guy at game night told me to stop teaching rules so fast

Back in 2018 at a meetup in Austin, a regular pulled me aside and said 'you explain the setup like we're all in a hurry, and nobody's having fun.' I started pacing my rule explanations around how many times folks asked questions, now my group actually finishes games without checking their phones. Anyone else get feedback that completely flipped how you run your table?
