So I finally tried water propagation after seeing it everywhere
All my cuttings just rot instead of growing roots. Heard it was foolproof but mine keep failing. Maybe my tap water is the problem?

Water propagation gets hyped up way too much online. It fails constantly for people because some plants just don't take well to sitting in water for weeks. The type of cutting you take matters more than your water source. You might have better luck going straight into damp soil instead of messing with jars.

My jar cemetery agrees with the fails constantly part.

Six dead cuttings in my kitchen window last month from trying to water prop a pothos, of all things. I mean if that can't survive in a jar, what can? I totally gave up and just stick everything in a pot with damp dirt now and ignore it. My success rate is way higher, and I don't have a bunch of sad jars gathering dust.
