Went to the zoo in Omaha last Saturday and spent 45 minutes staring at one plant instead of the animals
I was at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha last Saturday and got stuck in front of this one weird plant near the desert dome that looked dead but had tiny green spikes pushing out of the dirt. A worker walked by and told me it was a Welwitschia that has been sitting there since 1988, and it only grows two leaves its whole life. Does anyone else get distracted by the plants at zoos more than the actual animals?
