That bag of frozen veggies I bragged about lasted 3 days, not 2 weeks
I was in the break room at my office in Denver telling everyone how frozen broccoli saves me money and reduces waste. Then I got home and realized my freezer is too small and my roommate keeps stealing my veggies for her stir fries. Anyone else have a cheap meal plan fall apart because of a shared fridge situation?

Wait, your roommate is actually eating your frozen veggies that you bought for yourself? That's wild to me. I'd be fuming if someone just helped themselves to my meal prep stuff without asking. Have you talked to her about it, or is she just assuming what's hers is yours? In my experience, that kind of thing only gets worse if you don't nip it in the bud early.

Frozen broccoli is an INVASION of privacy? Come on. It's a bag of veggies sitting in a SHARED freezer. If my roommate was eating my stir fry stuff every single night yeah I'd get annoyed, but grabbing a handful for a meal once or twice is hardly a crime. You bought it for the household didn't you? That's what a shared freezer is for. Maybe buy your own mini fridge if you're that territorial about your frozen peas.

Set a clear rule early and stick to it. Had a roommate once who thought "shared" meant "free for all" and it got old fast. Buy a mini fridge if you're dead set on keeping your stuff separate, but also just label your bags with a marker. Works better than getting into a fight over frozen peas, trust me. Save the arguments for the big stuff like someone using all the hot water.
