That bulk rice purchase at Costco was a bad idea

I bought a 25 pound bag of jasmine rice six months ago thinking I'd save money in the long run. After three months it got weevils in it and I had to throw half the bag away. Does anyone have a foolproof way to store bulk grains without bugs getting in?

I had a friend who froze her 50 pound rice bag for 48 hours before putting it in a sealed bucket with oxygen absorbers, and it stayed bug-free for over a year (she swears by it).
