I used to pay $22 a day for airport parking, now I park at a hotel 2 miles out for $6
For years I just pulled into the garage at the airport and ate the $22 a day without blinking. Last October I flew out of Austin for a 6 day trip and did the math, that was $132 just to leave my Corolla sitting there. A buddy at work asked why I don't use one of the hotel lots on the shuttle route, so I tried it on my next trip. The place 2 miles from the terminal charged me $6 a day and the shuttle came every 15 minutes, took maybe 8 minutes to get to my gate. Now I book the hotel lot online a few days early because the cheap spots fill up on holiday weekends. Anyone got a city where the off site lots are actually a ripoff and the garage is the smarter call?
