Paid $35 for airport lounge access, then got free snacks 200 feet away
I shelled out $35 at Denver airport for a lounge pass thinking I'd save on food and drinks. Got in, grabbed a sad bagel and watery coffee, and realized the terminal had a self-serve snacks cart with granola bars and fruit for free. My flight was delayed 2 hours and I could've just sat by the gate with my own water bottle. Has anyone else found that lounge passes are only worth it if you drink like 4 cocktails?

Man that stings. I got burned the same way in Phoenix once, paid for the pass and the best thing they had was stale crackers and a self-serve soup that looked like dishwater. Meanwhile the food court right outside had a decent burrito place for like nine bucks. I feel your pain, the only time I got my money's worth was when I had a four hour layover and just camped at the bar.
