A guy in Tulsa asked why I zip tie cables to the drop wire, and it bugged me all week
Was doing a triple play install off a pole at 41st and Peoria and the homeowner kept watching me from the porch. When I started zip tying the coax to the strand he walked over and asked why I do that instead of a spiral wrap, said his brother did line work for 22 years and never did it that way. I gave him the usual answer about strain relief but honestly I could not explain it better than that, and he just nodded and went back inside. Anyone got a real reason to zip tie versus lash or wrap, or am I just copying what the guy who trained me did?
