Finally saw why everyone swears by the coax toner with a built-in probe

My old toner died after 10 years, so I picked up a Klein digital model last Tuesday. Ran a job in Aurora where the lines were a mess in a 1970s apartment complex. Before, I was guessing and pulling my hair out. This thing traced a buried drop to the third box in 20 minutes, no grunting or tone-finder dance. Does anyone else use the probe to check for shorts before you even climb the ladder?
