Warning: a 40 cent capacitor on a Canon AE-1 cost me a $75 repair quote

Client brought in an AE-1 last Tuesday with the classic squeal, and I quoted her $75 before even opening it up. Turned out the shutter squeak was just a dried out capacitor that costs 40 cents at the electronics shop on 5th. How do you all price jobs you have done 100 times versus stuff you actually have to dig into?
