Wrote off those $8 magnetic pickup tools for years, then a shutter spring vanished under my bench in Tulsa
Spent 20 minutes crawling around with a flashlight before I finally grabbed one out of the junk drawer, and it had the spring in about 4 seconds. Now I keep two on the bench, so what is the one cheap tool you guys ignored way too long before caving?

Learned the hard way that the magnet is only half the trick, you gotta hang it off a hook right where the spring pops loose instead of leaving it buried in a drawer. Half my lost parts were never really lost, just too far from where the dumb tool was sitting. Takes two seconds to hang it and saves the whole crawling routine.
