Pro tip: record your own lectures with your phone in your pocket, got me out of a jam

Last semester our poli sci prof banned laptops and voice recorders but said nothing about phones. Stick your phone in your front pocket with the memo app running and face pointing out. It picks up audio fine and you got a backup for when the prof talks too fast. I missed a whole section on the 1st amendment and used the audio to write my essay. Just make sure your ringer is off, obviously. Does anyone else do this or is it just me?
