I finally told my uncle his 2020 election posts were wrong and now Thanksgiving is dead
I was at my aunt's place in Dayton last November when my uncle started in on the mail-in ballot stuff again, and for the first time I just said no, that is not how it works, here is the county site, look it up. He got real quiet, then told me I was brainwashed, and my aunt changed the subject to the turkey. Later that night my cousin texted me and said thanks, she had wanted to say something for two years but never did. Now nobody is hosting this year and my mom blames me for it. The weird part is I would do it again, I just did not think one sentence would cost me a whole side of the family. Has anyone else said the true thing at the table and had it blow up the whole holiday?
