I posted a pic of my backyard garden on a local Facebook group and a mod removed it for 'promoting' something, still confused
All I did was ask if anyone knew what was eating my tomato leaves in Akron, and the post vanished in 10 minutes with a note about 'no ads.' Tried asking in the comments why and got muted for a day, so now I just ask my neighbor Dave. Has a mod ever accused you of something you weren't even doing?

Guessing the mod had a reason even if it looked dumb from your side. Facebook groups get flooded with people posting blurry pics of their plants with a caption like "DM me for seeds" and it turns into a store, so mods start nuking anything with a photo and a question mark. Akron gardening groups especially, those things are like 40 percent MLM ladies pushing oils and 60 percent actual tomato talk. The mute was probably just them being tired of getting yelled at all day by people who really were running ads. Dave's a solid backup plan anyway, he won't mute you for asking about hornworms.
