A recruiter in Austin told me she skips resumes older than 6 months because the job market shifts that fast now
I always figured your work history was your work history, you know? She said candidates who leave the same resume up for a while look out of touch, so now I rewrite mine every few months. Does anybody else keep a running version like that, or am I just buying into her line?
That sounds like a recruiter trying to make herself feel important honestly. Most people I know update theirs maybe once a year, if that, and they still get calls. Work history doesn't expire just because some lady in Austin says so.
