Appreciation post: My resume rewrite took a full month longer than I planned

I thought updating my resume would be a weekend project, but getting the wording right for my project manager experience actually took five weeks. Has anyone else had a simple career task balloon into something huge?

Honestly thought resume updates were quick until I tried to do mine last year. Tbh it took me like three weeks just to describe my last job without sounding boring. It's a whole thing.

Three weeks sounds about right honestly. I spent two days staring at a blank page trying to figure out how to say "I showed up on time" without sounding like I was bragging. Then I rewrote the same bullet point like twelve times before my roommate told me I was making it worse. Ended up deleting half of it and just going with "helped the team not fall apart" which is technically true.
