Caught myself saying 'busy' as a badge of honor at a conference in Austin last month

Some VP of marketing called me out on it, said being busy doesn't mean being effective. Has anyone else stopped using the word 'busy' after realizing it just covers up bad prioritization?

Did that VP actually give you any real tips for telling the difference?

The VP was surprisingly specific about watching their body language (like if they lean back or cross their arms when you ask a direct question). @baker.ben, he also said to look for people who overexplain simple things with too much detail, that's usually a sign they're hiding something. He wrapped up by saying inconsistency in their stories over time is the biggest giveaway, even if the smaller details seem solid.
