Am I the only one who switched from nails to screws on cabinet boxes after a job in Boise
For years I shot everything together with 16 gauge finish nails and a little glue. Saw a guy at a Boise remodel last March screwing his cabinet boxes with 2 inch trim heads and thought it was overkill and slow. Then he showed me how his boxes held up after a year in a house with wild humidity swings. No squeaks, no joints opening up. I ran the math on my own time too, it added maybe 20 minutes per box but I quit getting callbacks for tightening things up. So what do you all use for assembly these days, still nails and glue or did you make the switch too?
