A 30 year installer told me I was stretching carpet like a rookie, and he was right
Last week I finished a 40 yard power stretch in a two bedroom in Tucson and the homeowner pointed at a ripple near the closet door right as I was packing up. The old guy who trained me years ago always said "pull it tight enough to sound like a drum" but a 30 year vet on the crew told me that advice is why I keep getting callbacks in the summer, since heat makes my stretch job roll back loose. Do you guys stretch to the trim or do you run it long and cut after it settles for a day?
