My professor in 2011 told me the novel would be cut from our class in Malaysia, and she was right
Back in 2011 my lit professor at a university in Kuala Lumpur told our class to buy the book before the semester ended because the ministry would pull it from shelves within the year, and it happened about 7 months later. She had been through two similar pulls before, so she told us to keep our copies and not lend them out, which I did. I still have mine on the shelf, but I never figured out how she knew the timing so well, so does anyone here know how those decisions actually get tipped off to teachers ahead of time?
