Watched a classic film from the 90s get a weird digital scrub
I streamed 'Farewell My Concubine' last week and the version on the big platform had a key scene removed, the one about the Cultural Revolution. Checked my old DVD from 2005 and it's all there. Are they quietly editing older foreign films now?

Had a buddy find the same thing with a different movie. He pulled his old disc out of storage and it was like watching a whole new film. Makes you wonder what else has been quietly snipped over the years.

Which platform was it? I've heard some of them get different cuts based on the region you're in, so maybe they're using an edited international version now instead of the original.
